This is definitely the most versatile of our materials in terms of applications.
It is used widely around the world in industrial and commercial noise
reduction as well as professional audio applications. The patented anechoic
wedge shape of Sonex is specifically designed to scatter, deflect,
and absorb sound energy.

Acoustic Panels
Made to measure on a timber backing with either glasswool or polyester
fibre infill and covered with a fabric of your choice, or panels constructed
using Sonex acoustic foam which is very decorative, available in
a range of colours, and a proven acoustic performer.

Acoustifab
1000 sq m of 'Acoustifab' sound absorbing fabric
installed to reduce the echo in the swimming pool area at:

Canterbury Road, Box Hill, Victoria
Acoustifab is a woven fabric with sound absorption qualities that
are not available in conventional fabrics. The product has been acoustically
tested by RMIT and test results are attached.
Width: Standard maximum fabric width is 2200mm (nom). Some allowance should
be made for shrinkage when the product is dyed. (Approx 5-8%).
Weight: 140gsm.
Colour: Standard colour is white but the fabric can be specially treated
to allow dyeing with specifuc dye types. Acoustic Answers can arrange
for your fabric to be dyed prior to delivery.
Flammability: Tested to AS 1530.3 - 1999. Results indicate early fire
hazard index of 0 0 0 3.
Additional Treatment: Fluorocarbon treatment is recommended which will
allow your fabric to be easily cleaned after installation.
Typical Applications: 'Acoustifab' can be manufactured into a variety
of decorative wall and ceiling panels of various shapes and sizes.
It can be hung as flags or festooned to give an interesting effect
in the ceiling space. This method of fixing was used at Whitehorse Aquatic
Centre in Box Hill (Melb).
It can be cut and stitched to form sails, which were used at Half
Moon Restaurant in Black Rock (Melb).
It can be laminated to other open weave fabrics to form coloured
and textrued panels as was the case for Via Mare Restaurant in Franskton
(Melb).
Acoustic Holland blinds can be manufactured to adjust the acoustics
in any room as was necessary for the music school at Geelong Grammar School.Contact

Barrierlag
A Barium Sulphate loaded E.V.A. rubber compound available with or without
an aluminium facing.
Description: Used to reduce noise from waste water pipes in residential
and commercial properties. Our product has been used in The Crown Casino
and Hotel Complex, Como Apartments, Gateway Hotel Sydney and Southbank
towers to name a few.
Barrierlag is an extremely efficient acoustic barrier material that can
be used on its own, or in conjunction with other acoustic materials. Hence
it displays enormous versatility in numerous applications.
