How and why it works:

• Ultrasound is energy in the form of a wave motion above the maximum level of audible sound. This energy is transmitted to the cleaning solution via a bank of transducers underneath the machine. The result of this process is termed cavitation, tiny bubbles of vaporized liquid, which explode when they reach a high pressure.
• Cleaning takes place as the shock waves dislodge soil from the surface of the contaminated articles placed in the water bath.

The environmentally sound ultrasonic cleaning system is designed to meet the demands of the metal finishing and general engineering industries. The system offers a fully proven alternative to existing solvent systems, providing improved cleaning and lower operating costs. The system is configured to have zero direct environmental impact.

The system is designed for use with a wide range of aqueous solutions selected to ensure maximum cleaning performance and compatible with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. For cleaning of steel components which are prone to corrosion, inhibited detergents arespecified with similar chemical treatment being utilized for water rinse stages. The ultrasonic cleaning process removes and cleans effectively polishing and lapping compounds, cutting oils, grinding debris, machining swarf and similar oil based contaminants.
